As we reflect, we are reminded of the experiences we’ve had as well as the experiences we should’ve had. It’s tough thinking back at all things you should have done, or said. My wife is blessed to have all the great memories of her father.

But at the same time with Little Miss in the picture, it pulls on the emotional strings to see her grow up without her Grandpa. He passed away knowing he was a grandfather, but was not able to meet her.

Do yourself a favor and create memories with your children. It doesn’t have to be an expensive holiday or exotic trip. The simple things in life can be the most important.

Some of the greatest memories I have of my dad are washing the car in the driveway, going fishing, and just being around each other. He is still my hero and who I try and emulate as a father. Seeing him interact with his granddaughter are memories that will last a life time.
